PO: Periphery V: Djent Is Not A Genre (March 10)

Recommended Posts

These have gone up on the District Lines website... Think they might have dropped early as there isn't anything up from the band directly or on the 3DOT recordings store yet.

Each variant listed as /1000 copies, and at time of posting have listed remaining copies on each:

I think I grabbed this just as they were taking down these links?

Edit: Maybe not, this Facebook URL still works: https://m.districtlines.com/Periphery/123949/Periphery-V-Djent-Is-Not-A-Genre-2xLP-Black-Ice-w-Violet-Splatter?fbclid=IwAR0uLhjuBtC3sSMH_n_ZPwKGL1_m2p5rC91tz2ImR2CrTEa-ngYR9NdILf8

P4 was announced on February 9th, 2019 so this will also be the 9th of the month. Interesting coincidence. However they really missed the opportunity to announce P5 on the 5th day of the month which was what I was expecting. I feel like a Monday drop is pretty stupid but with how slow new music and music news has been I understand.

Yeah I feel that, hope some of the ice splatters are heavier.
But..... I sort of saw this coming? Or just went with my gut lets say, and did the retail copy.

I just feel like BLUE/WHITE is the most iconic and classic periphery color combo.
And I must say, pleased!

All of that said, maybe the least excited about a Periphery album I have ever been based on the singles....
I think they are at their best when they are getting melodic and groovy, never been as big a fan of their mega heavy stuff.
So hope the album skews a bit more melodic than the singles have.
