booyahachieved
I don't recall the exact moment I found VC... but I'm thinking it had to have been when I was checking into the band Kane Hodder after hearing about their album The Pleasure to Remain So Heartless which was affiliated with Suburban Home Records. I've been spending money I don't have here @ VC ever since.
boffen
Found it yesterday when I googled for information on the Daylight 10". I'm totally new to vinyl (ordered my first record about a month ago (the deluxe edition of Underoath - Lost In The Sound of Seperation, since that I've recieved about thirty 12", fifteen 7" and a couple of 10"). It's made me broke.
xriotxgrrrlx
Was trying to get tips on buying a turntable and was told to come here. Also when searching some records on google.
soysquad
think I found VC when I pre-ordered the Ben Weasel - These Ones Are Bitter LP. then lurked for a year, and then joined the message board, and then disappeared for a year, and now am back. nicola
I just found this site last night, Googling for info on the Sticks and Stones "World to be Saved, Song to be Sung," reissue. I have a pretty puny record collection, but every so often I get a craving and cruise around on eBay looking for stuff. I don't have the money to blow on lots of vinyl, but when I do I like having a good place to look for it.

miguelthibodeau
I've been buying stuff on VC since last summer, and I really can't remember how I found about this... I think it's with the Moneen "Hold That Sound" EP pre-order, saw the add somewhere....
gabpower
I found this site while looking for a Common Rider vinyl last year.
firebird1
When I wasn't looking for anything in particular...I've found Small Brown Bike's Our Own War for like 7$. It's a love story since then
firebird1
No wrong, I WAS looking for something particular. Joey Cape's Bridge. Then I found out about his split with Jon Snodgrass. Then I found out about the Playing Favourites. And then I found out about the bundle that gave you all three for like 15$. Since THEN it's love story
borderlineangelic
I found Vinyl Collective because of "The Always Open Mouth". True story.

joshnotgood
Stumbled across it years ago while at college. When I decided to get back into collecting, I had to refind VC but I had forgot what it was called. VC is actually pretty hard to find via google, I think I found it through the Dead Format Message Boards or something.

godless
a friend suggested i check it out. i like it so far. i have seen some of the threads and posts and it seems like there is a bunch of vinyl snobs, granted this is a vinyl messageboard. not too bad though
danrickenback
i've known about VC for a while. i had my friend pick up a copy of Dear You by Jawbreaker for me in an order he made a couple weeks ago. i wanted it pretty bad, but was hesitant to drop $16 or whatever on a new lp that had already been repressed a few times. it was cheap as hell here though, only like $9. i figured i'd check it out some more, so i made an account on here. now i'm getting hooked up with a Hot Water Music 7" i've been trying to get my hands on for quite some time now! i'd definitely say it was worth the time hahaha
