Snaggle Von Swift
tpanotch Hamhuis right to PGH for 3rd round pick next year was just announced by Holmgren unbelievable.
kyleevanswastaken
I made it less than 10 minutes into the draft, as soon as Peter Charrelli grabbed and thrusted his crotch towards Brian Burke while mouthing "Go fuck yourself" from the podium while he picked Seguin I had to stop watching. mcm1610
Sabres picked an East Indian kid, a deaf kid, and a kid who at 16yo had dual hip replacement. What the fuck? The East Indian kid could pan, it's just not very often you hear of Indian hockey players. But a deaf kid? And a kid with two fake hips already? Snaggle Von Swift
rumors are Hamhuis won't come to terms with the Pens before July 1st and will go to free agency to go out West. Guess it was a smart move for the Flyers.. essentially getting a 3rd round pick for Ryan Parent.

brad
No, but he wants to test free agency. Unless pens give him 4.5 min a year. We shall see

We shall see if its either/or for gonchar/hamhuis, I think they're more likely to give hammy that money before gonchar, based solely on the fact that there is a 9 year age difference. Prab Rai is a Canucks prospect who is Indo-Canadian and I believe Steve Downie is partially deaf, so you never know! But yeah, I wouldn't have touched the fake hips :S
drabley
Nazem Kadri is of Lebanese decent. Not too many of those folk on skates, either.
destroyingthescene
Nazem Kadri is of Lebanese decent. Not too many of those folk on skates, either. He isn't the first though, I know Alain Nasreddine was also of Lebanese decent. Kadri will most likely be the best despite having yet to play an NHL game! If it makes you feel better, my team has one professional caliber forward and a bunch of minor leaguers filling out the roster.

thesupervillain
So who's going to pony up for Kovalchuk? Honestly, I'd say Russia.
kyleevanswastaken
So who's going to pony up for Kovalchuk? Honestly, I'd say Russia. LA is going to sign him, I hope brian burke is just avoiding another tampering fine when he says he isn't interested in Kovalchuk. I think the whole go and play in russia thing is bullshit started by his agent to drive up his price.
thesupervillain
I could take or leave Kovalchuck for $10 - $11 million. Give me Bobby Ryan or give me death.

thesupervillain
Versteeg is a good second line player, plus it will be nice to have someone who has actually won something in the dressing room. Kinda bummed we lost DiDomenico though. I think he will be a good player eventually.
kyleevanswastaken
I could take or leave Kovalchuck for $10 - $11 million.Give me Bobby Ryan or give me death. No one is giving Kovalchuck 10-11 except for hypothetical russians. Fuck bobby ryan, he's awesome but he is going to wan't too much and it still doesn't address the fact that we have too many right wingers already. Versteeg is a good second line player, plus it will be nice to have someone who has actually won something in the dressing room. Kinda bummed we lost DiDomenico though.
