tim
I remember looking them up a month or two ago because I heard they sound like Dillinger Four. I think it may have been AP's 100 bands to watch or something like that. It wasn't on vinyl then, so this is good news. They're no Dillinger Four though... scottheisel
Steve, the guy who put out this record, swears he doesn't think this band sounds anything like D4. It's mind-boggling.
tim
Based on the 3-4 songs I listened to, I would put them about halfway between "just like D4" and "not at all like D4". D4 is my favourite punk band of all time, so I do tend to enjoy bands who sound like them. Ringers might grow on me. I'll probably pick this up next paycheck. thischarmingham
Scott, I just think that comparing them to D4 is lazy. There is a small vocal similarity between Ross and Eric but that's it. The songs are structured differently and I can't think of a single song of theirs that sounds like a D4 song at all. I wish I could. I love D4 and I'd like to be able to tell people that like them that it sounds like D4 and they'll love it. But it doesn't. Dillinger Four is the new Against Me!/Lucero/Leatherface/Hot Water Music/Jawbreaker/Screeching Weasel etc. A band that every band gets compared to even though they only have vague similarities or sound nothing alike.
