Posting Guidelines Reminder!!!

Recommended Posts

It's as simple as putting "NSFW" and hitting enter a few times before posting a pic of your boyfriend's dong.

At my school, a page you open is flagged as porn if an image on the page is hosted on a site that is deemed pornographic (which is far more sites than it should be). If someone posted a dragon dick in this thread, I could open the thread, and I would receive the notification. So you could "enter" a million times, and it would be the same as just posting it in the first post. Not sure how businesses filter the web, but that isn't necessarily a solution for everyone.

of course this doesn't matter because you shouldn't be dicking around on the board during class.

Ok well what about people who are in places other than work where you really shouldn't be seeing a picture of a dick?

I check these boards quite frequently at school. Like, not during class, but between classes. Between some of my classes I have about an hour or two with nothing to do. It's not worth my time to go back home, so hey, why not scope out VC? Really, what the fuck is so hard about typing four letters? No one is saying you can't post pics of dicks or whatever, just be considerate enough to tag it. And another thing, when I see NSFW even if I'm sitting in the comfort of my own home I appreciate it because there's just some shit I'd rather not see. I appreciate it when people are considerate.

What is so hard to get about that? Especially if the mods who enforce the guidelines of the boards are asking you to do so. If you can't follow the rules fucking leave. Go look at dicks somewhere else.

Why do people have such a problem being considerate? Sorry if some of us want to check out vinyl and talk to our friends on our breaks. All it takes is for one picture to get people into trouble. I'm sorry some of you are big enough assholes to care about no one else but yourself.

Obviously Nicole, the lesson here is that in between classes you should be doing something more constructive with yr time, like reading up on color theory or typographic grids.

DUH!

this thread baffles me.

it's about respecting the other members of the board, and for the people who say "you shouldn't dick around at work" - have you ever had a desk job? there is no issue with checking a board or surfing the web a couple times a day as long as you get your shit done in time and get it done well.

also, maybe i don't see the appeal of posting dicks in threads.

I think the entire "everything else" section of the board should be assumed NSFW and the rest of the board should be assumed SFW. that way you don't even have to bother with the tags. Why are you checking the everything else section of the board at work anyways? its not like it has any relevant info to anything in it.

Because one day, young Brennan, you'll realize that the real world can sometimes get boring and it's nice to have a quick diversion from every day tasks. There shouldn't really be a debate about people checking the board from work. People should be able to access this board from anywhere and be warned if something graphic is going to appear. Whether at work, at grandma's house, in a library, a computer lab at a school...it doesn't matter. A four-letter tag is not so difficult.

I'm not hip to all the cool Interweb lingo, but judging by the context clues, I'm guessing it means "Read the Fucking Thread," which is appropriate because captain genius came in two weeks after the thread started (and about a week after it ended) to make the same, lame non-point that a dozen or so other people did.

haha. awesome thread.

still, you can't add NSFW to a post you're replying to. i've tried, it shows on MY post but not on the main page where the thread is. that is really the only issue to solving this problem. if you load the thread, most of the image addresses are going to get flagged/recorded in your firewalls and internet history. if you can change the board to being allowed to change the title of the entire thread, problem solved. otherwise, epic fail.

thus, NO THREAD IS SAFE! especially in this section. and really. keep up with preorders?

http://www.vinylcollective.com

no need to be on the board at all if it's VC preorders you want to keep up with. i can see all the other various sites that offer preorders, i guess. your phone is still safe from work privacy and discretion right? or does not everyone have an iphone yet? ;)

btw. NSFW

:o

Is there a reason that the blink kid got two joke sale threads locked, and everyone pitched a fit, but there are a million lame ass Weezer threads being started every other second and that's fine? Ridiculous.

edit: I know this isn't on the topic of NSFW, but it does have something to do with posting and I had no desire to contribute to any one of those useless threads.
