oakland
What does the matrix say? I'm betting it's on there somewhere.
robotnerd
trust me, it doesn't say it. it has the serial number from the pressing plant and that's it. no matrix.
xfedaykinx
ive noticed that a lot of stuff pressed with pirate press has the matrix ending in A for all sides. you have to look at the number preceding the A in order to know which side it is. i dont know if thats the case with your record, being that i have the euro version of the absence of truth, but thats how it is for a lot of pirate presses. Right. That's what my 'absence of truth' shows. xxxxxxE1/A, xxxxxxE2/A, etc.
oakland
I"m guessing E1a is side one and E2a is side two. The other two records say E3a and E4a. Call me crazy.
robotnerd
well... i found the hidden messages, the labels depict an event happening (a ball of paper or something exploding). so as long as you follow the visual clues on the labels, you can listen to them in order without having to strain to see the serial #. oakland
But am I correct that they go in order from E1a to E4a?

oakland
This sort of thing happened to me with the Mars Volta "deloused..." LPs. It's a concept album and there is no indication on the vinyl version of what song comes first, which record is first, etc. I asked Sonny about it and he said he agreed that it was confusing and that he had broght that up to the guys in the band but they insisted it not have any labeling. oakland
Well, I would agree with you accept "Deloused..." is a concept album. It's a story about a very specific series of events. It sort of matters what order the songs are in.
