xxmartinxx
In recent months I've found myself obsessed with root beer. I've been trying every type of root beer that I can get my hands on. I love me some root beer. Anyone else?
timpopkid
Root beer is great. Except for Barqs. Barqs tastes like shit.
casey
Dude, it's so weird that you said this today. I've been all over some root beer lately. Last night I went out to dinner at a pizza place and they had a kind I'd never had before: Sprecher's. It was fucking delicious. Right now, I'm having a Stewart's. melvinscam
1919 rootbeer is my favorite. although i haven't had it in forever.
xxmartinxx
Stewart's is ok. I really like Saranac root beer, but I'm not sure how easy it is to find outside of New York state. I've tried Stewarts, Bawls, IBC, Virgil's, A&W, Dads, Barq's, Johnnie Ryan's, Boylan's, Boylan's Natural, Mug, and Saranac (and probably some that I can't recall). I've been tempted to order some that I can't get in my area, however the shipping is insane.
thomas
I go through phases where I like it, then hate it. I am sort of in the middle now, since I seem to only like a really cold glass of Mug Root Beer with pizza.
murakami
i often sway toward the Cream Soda, but love a good Root Beer when the time is right.
circlingvultures
I've often said that if Rootbeer/Cream Soda were alcoholic, Straight Edge would not exist.
xxmartinxx
If it were alcoholic I wouldn't drink it. Sell out.
scottheisel
Love root beer. Virgil's is pretty good, although I totally back Sprecher's -- that is some tasty shit. I also am a sucker for Barq's, even though it's got caffeine, which sort of makes it not root beer.

controlthebleeding
I've been trying new root beer and sasparilla sodas for the last several month. Unfortunately, there's only so many i can try in my local area. Specs has a decent variety. I've had mug, barq's, a&w, virgils, stewarts, ibc, jones, and many others i don't remember because i've only had them once. over all sodas i think cream soda has to be my fav, but 2nd (even over dr pepper) is root beer. hexrecords
Definitely backed. I'm an IBC guy myself, though Souix City Sasparilla (yes, the one quoted in Big Lebowski) is damn good too if you can find it.
circlingvultures
I enjoy hanks as well but the one place I've found it ran out and seems to only restock every other hank flavor. I miss the old days of the IBC 32 oz
cactusbot
I miss the old days of the IBC 32 oz FUCK YES. Those were the days. So bummed they stopped making that. Also, I really, really like this:
mariawithoneeye
I love cream soda. There is a brew pub near where I live called bridgeport and they make a mean root beer. It's very delicious

scottheisel
IBC is a classic. Also, Dog N Suds root beer ain't half bad.
saxamaphone
Birch beer is better.
jhamm212
www.steamworksbrewing.com This place in Durango, Colorado called Steamworks mainly specializes in beer, (the steam engine lager was really good) but they also have a kickass root beer, definitely some of the best I've had. I go through root beer phases, too, it's weird.
brettall
I feel the same way about root beer as I do about regular beer. None are bad, just some are better than others. Also, I don't know if anything can top an A&W Root Beer in a frosty mug!
