My favorite cake is this chocolate cake with vanilla frosting from the Dalton Restaurant in Dalton, Mass. This place is a little hole in the wall diner and the owner makes the best chocolate cake I've ever had. For our wedding cake, my wife and I actually asked the woman to just make us a bunch of her chocolate cakes, and she did. It ruled. Word is the woman just opened a bakery nextdoor to the restaurant. It was a chocolate Kahlua, cake with some orange zest, a white frosting and a chocolate melt over the frosting. I'd go though the whole wedding deal again just for that cake. Never heard of this, but it sounds amazing! it's really really rich heavy chocolate cake with peanut butter on top, then really thick fudge type icing on top. you actually have to cook the fudgey icing. holy crap so good. but it's so rich you can only eat a little at a time or it makes you feel sick, haha. i'll totally post the recipe if anyone's interested!
