altarsofradness
hm. probably Cave In, if only for Until Your Heart Stops. both bands arent aging well, though. and aside from We Are The Romans, ive always thought Botch was really mediocre
scottheisel
Cave In. I like a little melody in my chaos every once in a while. And Perfect Pitch Black was a pretty sick album, too. Dunno where they pulled it from.
robotnerd
altar, i don't know what to think of you if you don't like anthology of dead ends. and scott... i whole heartedly disagree with your assessment of perfect pitch black. Guest scriptedrain
I've never listened to either. (Please don't smite me!) Where's a good place to start with each band? - Jeff
robotnerd
botch - we are the romans. anthology of dead ends is also awesome, but if you're going to check out a botch record, this is the one. cave in? this one is harder to pin down. they did 2 huge style shifts in their career. best metal cave in? until your heart stops. best overall cave in? jupiter. in my opinion. i should note that we are the romans is easily in my top 5 albums of all time. steventangent
Jupiter is one of my favorite albums ever. Cave In.
benchwarmer
Cave In, again because I usually want to listen to them, and I do most of my listening at work, so sometimes botch is a little hard to get work done to. unless it's breaking shit. altarsofradness
i was never too impressed with Jupiter. and im sure im in the minority here, but i think Antenna might even be a stronger record, in terms of that style. but yeah. it doesnt get any better than Until Your Heart Stops. excellent record. wadeboggs
it used to be all about botch for me, but as I get older I find myself leaning toward cave in!
mattisr1984
i think overall cave in's catalog of work is much stronger but man, we are the romans is a flat out awesome record.

xfedaykinx
being that we would have to compare different genres to include some of cave in's releases, i will exclude anything post until your heart stops. in which case i will have to go with botch all the way. we are the romans and anthology of dead ends kills the crap out of anything cave in ever did in their metal/hardcore days. yes, including juggernaut. ronniethebear
Um, both? Brian Cook & Caleb Scofield = bass gods And Dave's guitars on "We Are The Romans" sound like a flaming sword. In the best way.
