tim
I had no idea there was an acoustic version of Snake Oil Tanker. That's my favourite Trio song of all time.

scottheisel
I had no idea there was an acoustic version of Snake Oil Tanker. That's my favourite Trio song of all time. Yeah, it's off this rare comp called "A Very Milky Christmas," which features exclusive songs from the Trio, the Promise Ring and the Dismemberment Plan -- all three bands played a Christmas-themed show in Milwaukee sponsored by Milk Magazine back in 2000, and they pressed 1000 (I think?) of these to sell there. I saw the Trio the next night at Illinois State University and they still had a few left, so I snagged one.

skumbucket
if it's a good version i'd be interested in leeching it too -- i've only ever heard the one i downloaded off napster seven years ago and it feels like it could be better. kirbypuckett
AAC isn't proprietary to iTunes, not sure why people always think that.
Guest scriptedrain
It's an .m4a file which can be converted to MP3 easily with free programs (albeit all the ones I've found you have to do them a file at a time and put up with a lot of advertisement bullshit to upgrade to the "Pro" or "Premium" version that is actually worth using if you have entire folders / albums to convert). - Jeff
