That LL song and performance was brutal to watch. It was all recycled nonsense. For me JT, JW and the Black Keys were the way to go. I had no idea that Urban Comtemporary Music existed let alone a category or that Rap/Sung was a category. Plus everyone who wins best New Artist has been around for years. Makes no sense.

not entirely true, Alabama Shakes have been around since 2010 or so (as The Shakes), but hadn't released anything other than a self-released demo prior to "Boys & Girls"....so I would definitely consider them a "New Artist" as it's their debut album that got them there
