And the drink specials aren't too bad. - Flyers lost. + I still had a pretty good night regardless catching up with some old co-workers and getting hammered until... - I'm having a lot of issues with a really good friend of mine. He tried messaging me last night when I was drunk and I got upset. He ignores me all the time anymore and it seems like he only attempts to talk to me when he knows it's not a good time. He needs to man the fuck up and apologize for being a shithead to me and toying with my emotions. I'm still really fucking hurt/heartbroken and he tries to act like nothing happened. So pretty much I was a drunk, crying mess and I left the bar we went to in Old City after the game. I really don't know how I got home by myself. I've been having a really hard time dealing with this. I don't have a lot of friends, especially close ones so finding out someone you thought cared about you doesn't really give a shit it fucking sucks. +++++ BUT...I did find a very temporary gig. And I can still collect my unemployment while doing so (good because unemployment won't even cover my rent). And get this, the job is helping this guy with a massive record collection catalog the entire thing. This means data entry and organizing right down to the super specifics, putting the list online, photographing the entire thing, all of that because he wants to get his collection insured. So yeah. Most of my work is covering for one of the girls that took a 3 month leave of absence. I think it will suck donkey dick if she comes back and i get fired cause i have the least amount of work. She is the one that took a fucking 3 month vacation but i guess im the new guy. ---- i am kinda fucking wiggin out. im glad i have some xanax to keep me for flipping out. - my boss is out of the office and i wont be able to talk to her until tuesday at the earliest. +/- found a bunch of great, rare, cheap records last night and placed an order... A bit of a fanboy post coming. + Last night was the hometown Every Time I Die concert - I woke up hungover yesterday to a text from my friend saying she was sick and couldn't go. I bought 2 tickets and she didn't give me money yet, so I was bummed. + Show was sold out, though, so I was like "hey, I'll sell it". + My friend Ryan was going to the show as well, so I was going to hang out with him. He is best friends with Jordan and Keith. + I call him at like 6pm and he says to go down to this random bar, I walk in, and he goes, "hey, this is Weekend Dan, Steve, and Keith Buckley." His fiance was there, too. + We drink for 30 min or so, and someone decided it was time to leave. "The rider is probably back with the beer." + We walk a few blocks to the venue while Keith ruins the plot to both Hostel and Martyrs for me, and we get to the front so I can sell my ticket. Someone whistled and yelled "anyone need a ticket" and like 8 dudes came charging over to me, elbowing each other out of the way. I could've made them bid and gauge them all, but I gave it to the first kid to produce money. He handed me $40 and ran off excited, and I got my money back for both tickets from selling just one. + We hang out at the bar in the front for a few minutes, then Keith escorts us all back, somehow me included. My friend introduces me to everyone from band members to the crew to other friends that are there, and we hang out and drink free beer for a while. + I then got to watch the whole concert from above back stage looking down at them. + After the concert, we wandered down to Weekend Dan's house, then the Pink, then back to Dan's with some of the dudes. The best part: + All of the guys in the band are legitimately the nicest people ever. They all welcomed me in, introduced themselves like I've never heard of them before, offered me a drink, included me in the conversation and stuff like that. After the concert talking to Jordan and Ryan (the new drummer), they were talking about how ridiculous it is that they sell out shows and kids go that crazy just to talk to them for 2 minutes if they can. They're just so enthusiastic about being in a band and can't believe after 11 years it's still working out so well for them.
