Guest chassit
too bad 90% of the vinyl you buy goes through some sort of digital processing before the record is manufactured.
ronniethebear
so... who produces the tapes? big companies like sony? BASF, Ampex, etc. And it's true, 1/4" - 2" tape is no longer being manufactured. It's a sad time for music recording, in my opinion.
ronniethebear
As far as cassette tapes, if/when you see Maxell XLII's anywhere, buy them up.
oakland
Audio cassette tapes are NOT poor sound quality. That's a myth. A good recording from vinyl to cassette sounds awesome. I'd certainly rather have the quality of a cassette tape recording over an mp3, but it's just so much easier to record and tote around an mp3 player instead of a cassette deck and tapes. But let's not confuse easy with better.
