xfedupx
Lately, at least in CA, it's been unbearable, and since I'm lucky not to have AC in my apartment, I'm over worrying about my records. My living room feels like an oven. Has anyone had records warp from heat inside their house or apartment? I've only had them warp when they were forgotten about in a car...can it get that hot in an apartment to warp them? Mind you, I have my shades drawn, so no sunlight is coming and I have a couple fans...so far I've been fine, but you never know
robotnerd
i don't know for sure, but i think vinyl melts at like 350 degrees or something like that. that's probably for full liquidation... however... i would imagine it would have to be pretty damn hot(200 degrees?) to warp vinyl. if you have vinyl that's slightly warped, it's most likely from the pressing than it is from heat afterwards. sgoodcore
its a good idea to keep them out of direct sunlight and out of a trunk of a car or something. however, having them in a room that's even 100 degrees I would imagine would do no damage

steventangent
so long as they are stored properly they should be fine. A record will warp in 80 degress if you have something leaning on it.
