The back story is that I ordered the record on stock purple, which is an opaque lavender color (just like the color the 2nd pressing of the Ship Thieves 7" came on, coincidentally). What we received was translucent purple, which is nice too, but does not match the inner sleeve color as well, yet contrasts more, so... still acceptable. However, the way the plant creates translucent purple is merely mixing blue and red together. As you can imagine, this means that the color varies across the pressing, if you want to be freakish about it. Purple is as purple does. (Please, no one ask Matt or Geis for a second copy. Do not ask for us to find a color for you. On this record, they are all packed and/or shipped and are intended to be one-per-person. Thanks. We try.)
