manicdogbert
the question is - do they use the original bass and drum tracks or the Bordin/Trujillo overdubbed abominations?
almightyseancore
the question is - do they use the original bass and drum tracks or the Bordin/Trujillo overdubbed abominations? probably the original. lots of people complained when they re-recorded the rhythm section. almightyseancore
the real question is. why should i pay $150 for two LPs that i already have. just to get a dvd and some bonus cd shit i'll never listen to? the box is pretty rad, tho. mattisr1984
arent those lps buried in used bin sections of record stores for about $5 - $8 a piece? i seem to come across them fairly frequently.

Forking over that kind of dough for this set is crazy. Get it? Crazy.

I just picked both of them up for $4 each on Sat at a flea market. Both in VG condition.
manicdogbert
the question is - do they use the original bass and drum tracks or the Bordin/Trujillo overdubbed abominations? When did this happen? with the last set of CD reissues a few years back. Sharon and Ozzy (mainly Sharon) didn't want to pay royalties to the guys who originally played on the albums so they had Mike Bordin and Robert Trujillo re-record the bass and drum tracks. they tried to pass it off but people noticed the difference. Forking over that kind of dough for this set is crazy. Get it? Crazy. This is badass .... but fuck spending 150 for a set with 2 lps. The Slayer box set was a better deal by far! xjustinxschwierx
yeah these records are awesome, however for a over a decade they've been dollar bin staples...this is just indicative of the last, desperate gasping, cash grab attempts that major labels are trying to convince people into thinking they're a good deal.
