xgrantx
Sorry to make a thread for this but people haven't been checking the How to Press thread that much. I want a closer (cheaper shipping) pressing plant. A+R has the right price but I'd like to get a few stories first. Have you worked with them? How does it compare to others? I've worked with Rainbo the last two records and have been mostly satisfied but the shipping is killer 300 bucks for 500 records. I know A+R doesn't do metal plating, I was planning on going through Mastercraft.
pablod85
A+R are great people. I've worked two times with them, and they have been very quick. What I don't like about them is their vinyl. It's too flimsy, but that can be an advantange after all. I'd recommend them.
xgrantx
did you do an lp or 7" with them?
pablod85
Two 7"'es. Their LP prices seem too high to me, comparing them with Rainbo.
thechuckdiezel
I have done an LP and a 7" with them and both times they have come out awesome. They are quick, really easy to work with, very affordable and I personally think the vinyl comes out sounding excellent. I always use Lucky Lacquers/Master Craft for my Lacquers and plating. All three are the perfect combo.
aarondanger
This plant is awesome! If you live in the south it's great. If you go through lucky lacquers it's even better.
