gmwier
Liar is great. I have an original and the repress. I wholeheartedly agree. Certainly my favorite Jesus Lizard record. I ended up buying all of the represses, and I am glad that I did.

almightyseancore
yeah the 7" set was RSD 2009. i remember it well, they all came in a big clear plastic bag. i wanted to get one, but they were over $100. i even considered shoplifting it for a moment, but...ya know... ptrsev
Head, Goat and Liar are all must-haves.
aarondanger
I feel the exact same way. I've heard these records so i feel $18 is on the high end.

almightyseancore
yeah, it really should have been a proper box set, with a proper box. also, they should have kept the nirvana side intact, or omitted the split from the set completely. burntwolf
yea Liar i had to get, but i'll only pick up Goat and Head, maybe Down if i see them a lot cheaper.
mcpherson123
So does anyone have any info/experience on a direct OP to remaster comparison? I've been able to track down OP's of Down, Shot, and Blue. Obviously the latter two are not likely to be repressed so I'm pretty stoked that I acquired sealed copies of them. Down is probably my least favorite of all their albums but I got it super-cheap on eBay yesterday and now I'm just dying to obtain their full length discography on OP vinyl. Anyway, to tide me over, I'm thinking of getting Head, Goat, and Liar represses and I heard that Albini did a full analog remaster and I have a feeling that he beefed them up for maximum awesomeness. So anyway, if anyone has any insight into the sound quality of the remasters in respect to the OP's, I'm all ears (eyes).
robx
owned a few og copies over the year, the represses sound just as good, and have never demanded the 50+ price tag the originals do. I loved that the nirvana 7" was included in the 7" set because it meant I could have that Jesus Lizard song without paying the stupid ebay price it demands solely based on a sub-par nirvana song. Also it shouldn't have been $100 at any record store, that's just ridiculous. I think a few stores still have these and they're never more than
