martyk36
I haven't had a chance to get into this band but have heard much about them, obviously they're legendary in chicago. I'm sure there are some diehards on this board somewhere, can anyone reccomend a good place to start as far as their catalog goes?

forgeagain
Destination Failure is probably my favorite. Top notch production, top notch songs. Overall, probably the best. I'd say they probably got progressively better, so hit that and then Born to Quit and Get Fired. I'd wait until then to even try to hunt down that discography disc. scottheisel
I'd go: Destination Failure Live (the first live record from 2000, not the "Live At The Metro" that came out on Victory in 2006) Born To Quit Get Fired 1991-1998

controlthebleeding
I say BORN TO QUIT myself. But that album reminds me of a time in my life, so i'm a little more attached to that album than all the others.
twelvetwenty
was it ever pressed? I don't think so...or at least I've never known about it...I've been uploading pics of most of the Popes stuff on DF. Not complete, but pretty good. All you other cats with the records I'm missing should give them to me.

I'm sure there are some diehards on this board somewhere, can anyone reccomend a good place to start as far as their catalog goes? It's about time! I'm a die hard fan (have been since early 90's and help maintain their site) They're great live and have rarely missed a show (near Chicago). I'd say Destination Failure Get Fired 91-98 Born To Quit The Party's Over (Great Covers album) anything you can get your hands on. Happy Listening. As far as LP's only Get Fired was pressed. forgeagain
Bumping this ancient thread. Destination Failure is being reissued by Side One Dummy as a 2xLP with bonus tracks, as per the interview I just listened to with Josh and Eli Caterer on WXRT. Early 2018. randomfortunepa and billya
