Maybe next time they'll make it look a little more like the original CD release. 4xLP; two on light blue and two on light pink vinyl would be much cooler than 3 records on black. almightyseancore
this is gunna be a big year for sp. the new line up is tearing it up live! oceania sounds like it's going to be great, then we got the reissues (not sure about the vinyl, but the siamese dream cd is 3 discs long!! [one disc is rumored to be a dvd tho]), and lets not forget SPRC, their mp3 based "record" club. also, they are selling USBs of the soundboard mixes of each concert this tour, and some set lists contain up to 6 new songs from the upcomming album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcQ7MOMSg4s&hl=en&fs=1 some of you may know SP has been my favorite band since about 1994, so i follow them pretty damn close. i also own the vast majority of their vinyl collection already except for a few singles, so i don't intend on buying these reissues, especially with the prices i've been seeing. derek123
this is gunna be a big year for sp. I agree. The 6 new songs i've heard are awesome. Especially 'Oceania' and 'Pinwheels'. Great stuff. I haven't been excited for a Pumpkins album like this in over ten years
kriss
So they're doing the whole back catalog? In that case, I can hope they re-issue Machina II as well. They will indeed release Machina II. Do you have a link somewhere to confirm?

kriss
That'd be rad to see Machina I and II packaged together.
almightyseancore
If appropriately mastered, an official machina 2 pressing would be great, complete with the 3 10" eps. I would buy something like that reguardless of price. Tho, I don't agree with combining and rearranging the tracks as one big album. That just doesn't seem appropriate to me. pukebileforever
I can't fucking believe he didn't put Machina II out as a wide release back in the day, atleast on CD. That release was the best thing SP had done since Mellon Collie. So much better than Machina I.
pukebileforever
These guys should do a box set too, they have so many B-Sides that are really really good. An Aeroplane vinyl box would be sick.
kidamnesiac
I like what he says about possibly restoring the intended tracklisting for MACHINA I/II. I've always wondered if the majesty in II could have brought MACHINA up a notch or two had they been released as intended. There's some good stuff in MACHINA that I think would have been complemented well by the material in II.
almightyseancore
am i the only one that thinks the first machina is superior to the second?
kriss
I'm not sure that either is superior to the other, I just think they're different in a lot of ways if that makes sense.

kidamnesiac
The vinyl remasters are being cut from 24 Bit masters. If they don't get brickwalled to death, they should sound incredible. Debating selling my OG copies of Gish and Siamese Dream.
almightyseancore
i went ahead and pulled the trigger on the siamese dream reissue last night. i'll probably get gish next week after i make a bit more $$ these reissues are only 28.99 with free shipping if you pre-order from amazon. they will be $40 in stores. but just look at 'em!!!! p.s. i'm pretty sure the vinyl reissues will just be one disc (2 for s.d.), none of the sexy bonus stuff. no idea if they'll change the art or not. derek123
I just want aeroplane on like a 7 inch box set I'd prefer an Aeroplane 12" box set. Those re-issue box sets are tempting. I wish they would do the same for the vinyl. Either way, i'm gonna have to pick up Gish. I have no idea why I don't own that album on vinyl yet. kriss
I always felt like the Aeroplane box was designed to house vinyl in some form and not cd's, so I'd back this as well.
almightyseancore
if aeroplane were to be a 7" set they would have to cut out a ton of songs, or make each EP one a 2x or 3x set. that would be 12x7" box set, or a 5x12". i think the 12" set would look and sound better. almightyseancore
10" would work perfectly, but they would have to omit Pastichio Medley not like anyone ever really listens to it anyway.
