"detailed" bass. Came here to post this. I use this pair more than the Audio Technica ATH-M50s a few others have been recommending. [Which are awesome in themselves. I've just yet to break my pair in, and keep falling back on the comfort and quality of those HD-202s.] Can't recommend them enough... especially for their price-tag. Only a few of which could be considered of audiophile quality, but still; many priced in the mid and "economy" range. I've always been impressed with the clarity and comfort of the 202s, as well. I believe they sound better than, say, any Bose models I've ever owned. I always recommend them to friends on a budget, and I've been three for three so far.
