Headphone's you'd recommend

Recommended Posts

I just recently got new in-ears and I can only recommend the Soundmagic e10:

I was actually quite happy with my Klipsch S4 which go for double the price of the e10, but I had to get those e10 because of the good reviews everywhere, even on the, let's say, more audiophile sites like: http://anythingbutipod.com/2011/08/soundmagic-e10-review/

When listening to the s4 and e10 next to each other, they sound the same except that the e10 has a more ... "detailed" bass. So difficult to describe in words ho something sounds....

tl;dr: $30 in-ears that perform better than $80 ones

edit: forgot to mention that while the earbuds on the e10 are not too bad, they are a little soft for my huge ears, so I got these better fitting sony earbuds for the e10 as well... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001RB24UA/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=recmol-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001RB24UA

Sony mdr-v6. you'll find them in pretty much every recording studio. they have been around a long time, they will last a long time. they are comfortable and they sound good. nuff said.

Get these and a pair of these Beyerdynamic ear cushions and you're golden. The cushions increase the bass and are 1000x more comfortable, trust me, it's worth the money for long listening periods:

put this in the wrong thread...

i totally prefer these $18 sennheiser headphones over my $225 nixon master blasters for $150 sony studio headphones. they sound better then my friend's dr. dre beat$ too.

highly recommended, not much of a risk either.

Came here to post this. I use this pair more than the Audio Technica ATH-M50s a few others have been recommending. [Which are awesome in themselves. I've just yet to break my pair in, and keep falling back on the comfort and quality of those HD-202s.] Can't recommend them enough... especially for their price-tag.

Honestly, I have to say I'm baffled by this. I found the 202's awful, even for their $20 price tag.

Really? I've purchased my fair share of headphones throughout the years. Only a few of which could be considered of audiophile quality, but still; many priced in the mid and "economy" range. I've always been impressed with the clarity and comfort of the 202s, as well. I believe they sound better than, say, any Bose models I've ever owned. I always recommend them to friends on a budget, and I've been three for three so far. [One friend even had her pair mauled by her cat; she bought a replacement the same day, without hesitation.] But to each his own.

spend the money and get a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770's you'll never look back

I've got the DT990 Pro headphones, and they do rule.
