Shit. Not to mention that's a solid collection of music on it's own.

I have yet to walk on to a ridiculous rare find. I have some promo presses of like The Ramones, Talking Heads, etc. I got from a friend who's grandpop left him a shed full of vinyl, as he was music press from The Philadelphia Inquirer. I also managed to get a copy of We play Songs a week ago at MSRP from some shitty record store in Jim Thorpe that still had a full set of RSD releases. Luckily it isn't worth anything right now because they had exact Ebay prices on everything.

Also, a copy of Don't Call Me White for $5 from Repo. Was really surprised on this, as they general have worthwhile 7"s on display for somewhat higher prices.

I found all of these at a local record shop.

Harm's Way - Breeding Grounds 7"

Iron Boots - Demo '04 (First pressing, mint)

No Values - United We Die (Record release)

Shipwreck - Demo (Record release)

Twothirtyeight - Regulate The Chemicals (first pressing, white /100)

I also got American IV: The Man Comes Around by Johnny Cash mint, never played for $75 at the place.

  • 7 months later...

GB - Start Today (purple) $40

Bought it off someone at a Shelter / One King Down show in Wilkes-Barre, PA during the summer of 2000. Ended up trading it a few years ago for some pretty heavy hitters. Never was a big GB fan, just bought the record because of how cheap it was and I knew value would only increase.

City & Colour - Bring Me Your Love (Clear /557) off ebay for $11.50

Don Caballero - World Class Listening Problem (Friends Press /100) off ebay for $1.50

Raphael Saadiq - The Way I See (7" boxset) off ebay for $4.00

Every Time I Die - Hot Damn! (Black Grey Split) from Hot Topic for $4.50

The ETID was when I first started collecting records. I walked into my local Hot Topic and asked them if they could do store to store transfers and they said yes. I asked them to look up a couple bands and they located "Hot Damn" at another store. I paid the $4.50 clearance price and they had it shipped in. It was the first and only time HT ever did a store to store transfer for me. I don't know if it was an old policy but it was an awesome buying experience and I wish they could bring that back.

EDIT: I thought I got a pretty good deal getting Four Year Strong "Rise or Die Trying" Green/Purple Nuke for $28 off ebay a few months back. I think the seller didn't have a lot of feedback so I got a good deal.

Every Die Kreuzen album, original pressings. Most expensive one was the S/T for 10 bucks. The same store got another copy of Century Days a few months later and had it for $20.
