deletedunknown
Pelican PO? did I miss a Pelican Pre Order? If you haven't got Ataraxia/Taraxis EP yet then you did. It can be found for pretty cheap on black still, I'm sure.

nothingnatural
Holy fuck. I can't believe this many have sold. That's awesome. Also, SL is now offering Media Mail and First Class shipping so that should make a lot of people happy.
orangesix
They should press Holy Mountain again instead of doing so many different versions of Dopesmoker. Its a great album and Im glad I got a chance to get it, but I feel like they pressed too many. jack8urt0n
RustyShackelford
i want that shirt, but i dont collect tapes. so i might just have to order it anyway..
nothingnatural
but I feel like they pressed too many. Why? They have sold out of each pressing so it only makes sense to keep it available if there's demand. lexicondevil
magnumtaurus
Bought the cassette. Can't wait to blast this fucker in my 2001 Volvo cassette deck like a (stoned) boss.
orangesix
Why? They have sold out of each pressing so it only makes sense to keep it available if there's demand. Cause then I don't feel as special for owning it.

kk-downing
Why? They have sold out of each pressing so it only makes sense to keep it available if there's demand. Seriously. God forbid a record stays in print. I guess this is a problem because how do we impress people on the internet we don't know with our non-OOP records!? nothingnatural
mcpherson123
Cause then I don't feel as special for owning it. That = stupid. The only thing that sucks about keeping records in print is when they choose the most god-awful colors imaginable like this new press. I say keep shit in print on black and be done with it but I'm not a label and have no say.
xlovecolouredx
for me, it's enough for this masterpiece. i hope earache records will repress holy mountain soon....
bortx
Transparent green w. Holographic foil cover is enough for me, and personally think is the best press. +1 for the Holly Mountain repress. In one of my wet dreams I thought about Holy Mountain being re-recorded much slooooower as they were playing live last year. I have to say I LOVE Holly Mountain as it is, but that was just a dream.. For those wondering, Holly Mountain is Sleep's Christmas themed album. : D Bad joke, sorry.
mcpherson123
Would definitely be on board to grab a HM repress. Some excellent tracks on that bad boy!
azvd
According to Southern Lord, it's up to the band authorizing the reissue of the other albums through them. Judging by the massive success Dopesmoker had, I can see this happening in the following years but guess they're are still extracting every last drop Dopesmoker has to provide in the meantime. mcpherson123
Can any folks who own both the Southern Lord and the Tee Pee press comment on the difference? Any pros about having the original over this new press?
Rev. Mike
The SL is Dopesmoker 2.0 essentially, a brand new mix and edit. It is far, far superior to the Tee Pee version, which I never liked anyway, having always been a Jerusalem die hard. DS 2.0 > Jerusalem > DS 1.
mcpherson123
Ok! Thanks for the insight. I've been listening to Jerusalem on grooveshark and I can seriously hear a difference in the drums. They're not terrible but they don't have the power that the SL master has. Much tighter and more confined though I feel that there's a bit more taste to the tone on the guitar on the Jerusalem mix/master. I'm really kind of interested in having the Tee Pee anyway because I'm pretty sure its the same length as DS 2.0 (as you cleverly put it) and when I listen to that file online it seems pretty close to my Southern Lord in terms of mastering but I realize there are many factors to consider when dealing with the differences between digital streaming files and vinyl.
