Fest 11

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know who the last couple bands were that played the Holiday Inn party? I remember Broadway Calls, Cheap Girls, and Astpai before I had to leave to catch my cab for the airport.

Back to sleep...

-Broadway Calls (plus Ryan from the Swellers) was Green Day

-Cheap Girls was Pinhead Gunpowder

-Astpai was Foo Fighters

-BTMI! was Fugazi/Sugar Ray

-Comadre was Weezer

-Members of Arteries and some other band were Nirvana

so, i'm still stuck in FL til tomorrow.....so i decided to add a coupon code to the TJR webstore. if you have any more money left after fest, order some records!! all orders will ship this weekend when i get back to PVD. the code is only good til 11/2 but it gives you 30% off your order. check it out. probably something you might be interested in buried in there. the code is "stuckinflorida". www.torjohnsonrecords.com

Kinane was awesome, john michael was fucking hilarious as well. it was a great ending to the fest.

Thanks dude. I appreciate it. Both of those shows were a lot of fun. Still can't believe I got to do four shows with Kinane last week.

To people that saw either of Kinane's 3 sets over the weekend, they all had different stories told. He was pretty well lit by the time he went up for the last show Sunday night and it was a glorious, strange, beautiful time. No matter when you saw him you got something special which is sort of why I love him.

Favorite sets of Fest on my end were House Boat, Shook Ones, Broadway Calls, and watching Braid twice Saturday (soundcheck and real set). A serious delight all around. Now to get over this cold I gave myself.

yeah, me and marc saw two different sets and we figured out that he wasn't doing the same material. which sucks that i missed more of his standup, but was funny nonetheless.

this has been by far one of my favorite fests. mainly because there weren't as many people as last year and i was able to see every band i hoped to see and then some. which makes for a awesome year. i got to meet some new vc folks as well as see and hang with the old guard as well.

and i got sick too. fuck FEST AIDS!!!
