Jobs ( What do you do?)

Recommended Posts

Currently a full time screen printer. Perks are I could leave for tour whenever I wanted, print my own merch for cost and got pretty good at it. My bosses being my friends started off as a perk but as I get older has turned into a real downside.

I'm starting a plumbing apprenticeship though in the spring so that will be a change of pace.

still working for Job Corps as a Transition Specialist, though im actively searching for a new job in HR now that I got my Masters in labor relations.  if anyone wants me to take a look-see at your resume, feel free to hit me up.

So enticing! :P The FBI is coming to campus next week and I wanted to hit them up (even though I have my job offer waiting at home for me :/)

But come on FBI sounds way cooler than CFP!

But my resume is so outdated and I also have my lab during the time slot too :/

do they not teach resume writing in college anymore?

my senior year, we had a senior seminar with a small group of kids in our major, and they taught us stuff about interviewing, resume writing, etc. i'm not sure they do that anymore (but com'on, i didn't graduate THAT long ago; just 6 years), because i just had to redo my cousin's resume for him and it was a wreck.

not everywhere, and most colleges/universities dont do anything unless you seek out assistance from the career services department as they're typically only staffed by a couple of people for thousands of students.

I worked for an Industrial Screenprinter before I got the job I currently have. I liked it but they laid me off. Booooooooo.

Honestly I don't know if they offer it, I would imagine they have some one in the learning commons for it. But mine hasn't been updated since my HS job of Apple Department manager. All my connections have been made due to my characteristic of being a social butterfly :P aka I drink too much and belonged to a Country Club lol

So just never really thought about updating it, it still has my (present then) 2009 high school date on it :P

I work in the international division of a local university, so basically helping overseas students come to the town to improve their English and then go on to study undergraduate or postgrad courses with us. Great job, great people, the uni doesn't mind me getting records delivered here all the time.
