geezfools
Alright, so all of your PM's you've been saving for the past 5 years are about to be gone. You're probably thinking you should go through them, find some addresses and put them somewhere in case you need them. I know I have over 1,000 sitting in my inbox, so with only so much time before they're gone, what is a person to do? Well, even though proboards won't let SRC backup the entire board, they will let you backup your messages. It's super easy and I took some screen shots to give you a quick rundown so you can get those saved, put them somewhere safe and if you ever need something from 2007, you should have it. First off. Go into your inbox like you would normally do. Over on the right is a image that says "backup messages", click on it. That will put you on the next page. Click on the little box down there. Should get the following screen if all went well. Mine took a few minutes, but it worked. This should pop up if you hit refresh: The next screen is where you will download Click the link and the download will start. It's a zip file and inside is an index file with another folder. If you open that index file, it should open in your browser and if you click on any of the PM's, they should open. The messages folder is each and every message as an individual file. Hope this helps you out. Even if you don't think you need anything, I'd at least download the file and maybe email it to yourself so you always have it somewhere. Hope that helps. PS I threw in those brand new tags because it's funny, har har somber_silt, A_Boring_Story, andi and 1 other

geezfools
Yeah, I kept mine deleted until sometime in early 2008, looking back at soe of those early ones is a little crushing, but that's how it goes. There are also some I sold that aren't worth a thing thanks to represses, etc...

Yeah, I haven't gone through many of my saved files from the back up but none of them so far are looking like Sent messages.
