hellbent
I think this will either be really good or terribly bad. My thoughts exactly.
steviex2shoes
I'm thinking its just going to kind of be, eh. Nothing amazing but listenable. But I'm willing to let them surprise me.
derkwithano
Dear Rise, Moon is Down repress please. - D
steviex2shoes
So basically what this thread has come down to is no one really cares that they're releasing a new album with their original lead singer with all new songs. People only want Moon is Down repressed, by a label that has nothing to do with the original release. bobbydrake33
sabukweli
I couldn't care less if Rap-A-Lot represses it. I just want to see it done. I'll be ecstatic if this new stuff is enjoyable, but I'm not holding out any hope.
ijux
they look like they are 90 years old in that band pic
ronniegwilliams
I'm super excited about this. I remember them posting a black and white teaser trailer a few years back with Chris in it and it gave me goosebumps. Yes, The Moon Is Down is an amazing record, and will always be one of my favorites, but I'm super pumped about new songs with Chris. I just hope that same energy and dynamic TMID held is present on this.

smailtronic
TMID is amazing and will be repressed. Is this 2009 Brent Lakes, or 2012 Brent Lakes?

selfreliable
I love how everyone always points out that Chris is back but never points out that the original guitar player is back too.

anchorclose
I love how everyone always points out that Chris is back but never points out that the original guitar player is back too. This band does not get enough credit for the guitar work on each of their records. selfreliable
ronniegwilliams
This band does not get enough credit for the guitar work on each of their records. They've always been incredibly influential guitar players to me. selfreliable
tkelly426
They've always been incredibly influential guitar players to me. the drum work has been extremely influential to me! It's funny, I really discovered jazz drumming through FSF...buddy rich is rolling Over in his grave right now. selfreliable

dreamover
don't know much about rise, but are we expecting something like this for fsf? http://riserecords.merchnow.com/products/140666/the-early-november-super-deluxe-bundle
gmoney
I am 99% expecting that unfortunately.
dreamover
i don't mind sets like that for records/bands i absolutely like. $70 doesn't seem too bad for all that. as long as there is good-sounding vinyl, that's all i really care about. if there was a dvd, that'd be nice too. dreamover
just brought myself to listen to the trailer. am i the only one that is pretty unimpressed? the last song is pretty good, but the other ones sound like they coulda been on a bad dashboard record or something. but, i hate hearing songs out of context like this. i hope it's awesome. I had the same reaction. I mostly thought the songs were pretty lame. It sounded more like a dashboard album than from FSF. Still, I hate judging by little snippets. Will still give the album a proper listen before judging, but I'm not going to be jumping on any preorders based on that teaser
