moonbeams
After 3 solid years of problemless play, my project debut 3's right audio wire stopped producing a signal. Well, I get a musicless loud bzzzzzzzzz. Can anyone diagnose this problem? Is there anyway to fix this being that the audio cables are built into the turntable? moonbeams
Nevermind, I toggled the wires on the cartridge and it works again.
jase
It could very well be a loose wire on the cartridge. With pair of fine nosed pliers or strong tweezers, unplug each wire and replug it in, one by one. Test it afterwards, if that doesn't help try opening it up and having a look for any loose wires/broken solder joints. If you don't feel comfortable doing this, take it to any hifi repair store. It should be a pretty simple fix moonbeams

heylepe
I had the same thing happen with my deck. Most of the audio repair shops in San Francisco wanted at least $100 to repair the turntable. It would work fine for a week, then I would get a buzz on my right channel that would only go away after toggling the wires. I bought a new deck and am currently trying to repair the old one. Good luck!
