kurtmanner Posted November 17, 2007 Share Posted November 17, 2007 Rocky Votolato is one such act that I don't like the full band sound, as I think it drowns him out live in a lot of cases, especially the older songs that have the instrumentation added. I missed his most recent tour with a full band, which I haven't seen before. I'm kind of glad to hear it wasn't incredible and my thoughts on what it might sound like were confirmed. The new album would sound awesome, and a handful of older songs, but that's it. He seems to be playing mostly electric guitar at shows for the last couple years, which sounds pretty cool with just him, it's something you don't hear often.
