Thomas_Nassiff
Buffalo, N.Y.-based punk rockers Pentimento have announced via AbsolutePunk.net that their debut full-length will be released via Paper + Plastick Records on November 13. The self-titled full-length will follow up Pentimento’s Wrecked EP and split with Young English that came out via Panic Records in 2011 and earlier in 2012, respectively. Doesn't surprise me. To be fair, they may be experiencing the same delays as everyone else, but it is P+P so who knows.
kylet
"Panic Records has hired a lawyer to threaten legal action toward Pentimento, Paper + Plastick and Black Numbers if we continue on with our record release. That's why this album hasn't had a normal marketing plan around it - that's why you guys haven't been able to preorder the record online. No vinyl or CDs or cassettes have been pressed. Plainly and simply, we've decided to close our relationships with P+P/BN at the current time in the interest of protecting those labels from legal action, and in the interest of forging on ourselves as an independent band. Panic Records has made threats to file take-down claims from any digital distributor selling our album. They've enforced take-down claims with YouTube regarding the few songs we have already released for you guys to hear, which due to the situation are no longer available. Truth be told, we have been in this legal battle with Panic since September. And even though we had to put off the relationships we were so excited to start only a couple months ago, we MUST push on as a band." http://www.tour-city.com/webhosting/pentimento/splash/
GradedOnACurve
Yeah a facebbook spat has broken out over this. Funny thing is that its mostly between Thomas from P+P and Timm from Panic. Sad that its come to this.

GradedOnACurve
For once this delay wasn't even related to the actual vinyl pressing. Also go stream them at bandcamp: http://pentimentony.bandcamp.com/
hipsterasfolk
Pretty stoked, this band is awesome. I may have to go put in my 2nd order at P+P when the time comes
dave_jones
This album is phenomenal Went into it with high expectations, and was not disappointed at all. Was hoping for some more heavy tracks ala L'Espirit De Escalar (The Stairs) from the Young English split, but was not even disappointed with the direction they went. Really hope this goes up for order soon. The physical CD was already announced for release in Japan through Ice Grill$ so hopefully that's a good sign that the legal spat might be cleared up. And I know people always say this about bands, but these dudes are so fucking nice/genuine. They definitely deserve to get huge. How can you not appreciate a band that throws their first full length up for free?
