I can't get over how they used a 30 year old to play Nieson's 16 year old daughter. Also watched We Need To Talk About Kevin which was really fantastic, super dark, very depressing. John C. almightyseancore Posted December 22, 2012 Share Posted December 22, 2012 so i finally watched moonrise kingdom, and wound up falling asleep during the third act. the cinematography was awesome, and the movie was really cute, but i was full of mcdonalds and beer. i enjoyed most of what i saw. a friend of ours gave us a bootleg of ted, so i'll be watching that soon. I have already seen it, but DVD just came in the mail. I remember it not having nearly the same impact as the first two. Seemed like a compilation of footage I had already seen multiple times. Currently watching Grandma's Boy for the first time, decently funny but not as good as I thought it would be from hearing it being hyped for so many years. You constantly hear about how much of a classic it is, but from what I've heard it's pretty boring for the most part. I just feel like it's one of those movies you NEED to see at least once. maneatingcow Posted December 28, 2012 Share Posted December 28, 2012 I gave up watching Total Recall about an hour and a half in. It did nothing to keep me entertained. I might have enjoyed it more if it wasn't just a remake. The original was just a fun Sci-fi movie, this seemed to try and be something it wasn't.
