monsterrod
I was just home in RI a couple days ago. I kinda regretted going home for Christmas and not New Years after finding out about the Royal Crowns. A few of my buddies went to see the Crowns at the Met a couple weeks ago. No Colonel, but they said it was pretty good.
swoopdog
I am not there this year but I am always there. Edit: The Mighty Mighty BossToneS are the greatest band ever.
kyacrash
This was my fourth throwdown and by far the most fun I've had at any bosstones show. I can't believe how good they still are. Amazing Royal crowns were incredible as well. They promised more shows in the future. Do not miss them if you get the chance
mclz
I'm guessing RCR didn't include any of the Stern brothers?

kyacrash
I'm guessing RCR didn't include any of the Stern brothers? Royal Crown Revue is a different band. Amazing Royal Crowns are a rockabilly band from providence. setlist? No clue, but they played for almost 2 hours. Possibly the first time I heard them play "a Little Bit Ugly" though. adammuzzy
found it for ya anyways: Temporary Trip Don't Know How To Party Mr. Moran Rascal King Like A Shotgun He's Back Do Something Crazy Where'd You Go? Magic Of Youth Bartender's Song Royal Oil Everybody's Better Wasted Summers The Common Decency Jackknife To A Swan Hell Of A Hat Someday I Suppose You Left Right? Auld Lang Syne They Will Need Music Awfully Quiet A Little Bit Ugly > Zig Zag Dance > Little Big Ugly Reprise The Impression That I Get Holy Smoke Don't Worry Desmond Dekker Encore: Pirate Ship Kinder Words Devil's Night Out Impossible Dream Lights Out looks like a fuckin blast. i was right down the street at agganis for the my morning jacket nye show, which also was a wicked good time. between mmj, the bosstones, and soulive at the paradise, boston was hoppin for new years this year. glad to hear you had a good time! i'll be there next year if they do it again almost guaranteed, unless there's something better going on in the area, which i doubt. have no idea why my morning jacket played in boston, being from louisville and all, so i highly doubt they'd do it again. kyacrash
Nice. That "little bit ugly reprise" / "zig zag dance" shit was so cool. I didn't know my morning jacket was playing. Ther was a badass hardcore show at the Cambridge elks lodge too. Foundation, out crowd, and malfunction. Definitely a show I wouldn't normally miss. jhook
In the early 2000's there were shows at the Elks every Monday night. It was awesome. There is a good show next friday the 11th. Also they didn't play Pictures to Prove it? Bummer.
