smwalsh6
Found one online for this price. Not totally opposed to buying used, and for 50 bucks less than the debut carbon I've been thinking about, seems to make sense. More expensive table for less. Thoughts? hipsterasfolk
I originally looked at the Genie, some of the benefits outweigh the cons. The cart is better but in this case will be used and the carbon is newer phasing out the Debut III which was better in some aspects to the Genie. Both have great features in comparison with one another. You will need to get a dustcover (or just an old record to keep on the platter) and maybe a new cart if you grab the Genie. Plus the Genie looks awesome!
ajxd
Please explain to me how the Debut III was better than the Genie.
smwalsh6
I went ahead and got it and I love it. Dude I got it from was very meticulous, had all the original packaging, receipts, stylus cover, the whole nine. Plus he got the upgrade at the time and it has the Sumiko Pearl MM cartridge. And he threw in a couple of pieces of granite to help with any motor noise I might get on my shelf. Picking up some Advent 5002's for 75 bucks this weekend, so I just need to find a nice receiver and I'll be in way better shape than I was a couple days ago. Thanks for the tips homies. ajxd
Upgraded to the Pearl? It came stock with the Pearl. Excellent cartridge. I loved mine. The motor hum is negligible if you properly place to motor. Completely centered.

Yea I figured that out pretty quickly as soon as I set it up. Oh well. Got a head start on granite counters when the time comes.
