sabukweli
That version of "Fazer" features Kelsey Grammer on backing vocals so they modified the name a little. You have to listen really hard to hear him though. Many people don't know it, but he was a huge Quicksand fan. His ex-wife used to complain on Real Housewives about him listening to "Slip" over and over ad nausem and even cited it as a minor reason for the divorce. I heard she even got his OG press of it in the settlement and hocked it on ebay. Seriously though, I just wanted to post here to express my extreme joy at being able to hear these songs live for the first time in 18 years (1st Warped Tour in Pontiac) tomorrow. Hopefully it'll be the dream come true I'm imagining. scottheisel and nothingnatural

It's just a promo 12" single that was used as a sampler of songs from Slip before the album was out. It's a nice little rare 12" single but it has the material is on the regular album so this is just something for the "gotta have it all" types (like myself). Edit - And the 'Frazer' thing was just a typo. Happened quite a bit on many samplers, promos, advances etc etc.

I bought it, loved it and thought that geeks would be loving it.. but then no one I met ever owned it or had heard of it... and.. sadly it's not Kelsey Grammar and sxe crew singing Fazer in jazz style.. that was my other hope when buying it. nothingnatural
I've seen em go as high as $70. They seem to regularly sell for $30-$50. I'm holding out on buying one til I find a steal. It's a cool item for sure but not something I'll drop more than 10-15 on.

I mean it only shows like ten people have it on discogs. that leads me to believe that maybe there was 100 - 250? also on a side note, how come people don't go more ape shit for their harder to find 45's? http://www.discogs.com/Quicksand-Dine-Alone-Can-Opener/release/396377 http://www.discogs.com/Quicksand-Divorce/release/2904488 http://www.discogs.com/Quicksand-3-Stanford-Prison-Experiment-Quicksand-Stanford-Prison-Experiment/release/2617545 I mean I have had these for years but they rarely come up for sale and when they do they seem to go for pretty cheap... I mean shit, that stanford split is on discogs for 5 bucks!!!

I mean shit, that stanford split is on discogs for 5 bucks!!! I'm guessing there's probably 500-1000 of those 12" singles. No way we'll ever know for sure. Those 7s you listed really aren't that hard to come by hence why they don't sell very high. Dine Alone/Can Opener fetched upwards of $30 for a while but there's enough of them out there so prices leveled out. The hard to find Quicksand items are the white and gold versions of the s/t 7" and the white copy of Manic Compression. I actually just missed out on this the other day as it went for a pretty fair price. Seen this promo go for over $200 a few times. I got a email notice from eBay that it was up for sale but somebody beat me to it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Quicksand-1993-Dine-Alone-Polygram-Records-Rare-Promo-Only-CD-Cassette-Sampler-/310560051074?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item484ed24f82

It was just a promotional item made in very small numbers. I never owned that comp you mentioned.
