suchashorttime Posted January 10, 2015 Share Posted January 10, 2015 just got the box and EE split in today. stoked to have this wrapped up. the process of a label doing a subscription is really fun for me. i'm not even upset it took 2 years to wrap. it's good work. one suggestion for the next one - don't put a timeframe on the sub, and maybe charge a bit extra to accommodate for a bonus in case of unforeseen delays. for example, say you're doing a sub that covers 6 7"s instead of 7"s in 2015. then instead of charging 70 (??) charge 85 and throw in a bonus flexi or non-sub 7" along the way if the 5th of 6th 7" is super delayed. or if everything goes according to schedule, do a short run 7th 7" at the end. obviously if i knew what i were doing, i'd have my own label and press my own records - i don't, just throwing out an idea. How about a coffee cup, more elaborate box, and perhaps custom A-Z record dividers on the next subscription. Time frame doesn't bug me as long as it's good music. I assume he means dividers like you would see in a record store signifying the beginning of a new letter, but perhaps with the artist name listed instead. Keeping costs low was my main goal for the last two because I know it sucks to pay so far in advance. If people are down to pay a little more, then that's definitely what we will do.
