Been using the Regal app to keep track of my points (seriously, movie pass plus the Regal points club is the best) and today it informed me that if you see Truth or Dare, Breaking In, The First Purge, and the new Halloween you get a bunch of extra points, a free popcorn, and digital downloads of all 4 movies. I planned on seeing Purge and Halloween and since the cost of seeing the other 2 is $0 I'll waste my time for that free shit. Let us know how it is! Rip
A Quiet Place was so so good. Felt like I barely breathed the whole time.
stranaspank
Finally saw Quiet Place too, absolutely loved it. Definite house goals. I think Hereditary will likely be my favorite of the year, but Quiet Place is going to make it difficult to choose. Rip

Got me even more hyped for it. My most anticipated of the year for sure. KingTacoMunster
Rip
Speaking of Hereditary (still), I believe a new trailer came out today. Haven’t watched it yet and I don’t think I’m going to watch it. I want to stay in the dark about this film as much as possible. That first trailer was more than enough to get me excited.
Bladewillisisdead
Unsurprisingly Truth or Dare was shit. Could have been fun, but they reaaalllly aimed it for the PG13 crowd. Not just in the PG13 friendly gore, the whole thing is like a teen soap opera. I don't know a current one to reference. Dawson's Creek? The Butcha
Just finished up the series Born To Kill on Shudder. Only 4 episodes so a pretty fast watch and hollly shit is it good. You guys need to check it out.
Rip
Anyone else watch “Requiem” on Netflix? It has pretty mixed reviews but my wife and I liked it. Only 6 episodes at about an hour each. It’s a BBC show too I believe. Think Broadchurch or any other “who did it show” with a more “supernatural/horror” element.
The Butcha
Watched Downrange on shudder last night. Was a fun little sniper shootoff flick. Would recommend!
Bladewillisisdead
Anyone else read the trailer description for the new Halloween? I'm pretty stoked that they're just throwing out every sequel (even though I liked some of them). KingTacoMunster and Rip

KingTacoMunster
not sure if it was talked about but has anyone wanted Residue on Netflix? Seems interesting but a lot of people said it made no sense at all...debating on checking it out. It’s been quite a while but from I remember it either ended pretty abruptly or it left on a big cliffhanger. But I mean... the main reason my wife and I watched it in the first place is because we’re big Iwan Rheon fans. KingTacoMunster
radiatorhums
Watched Downrange last night and thought it was fun. Acting is pretty weak, but it was real violent and overall entertaining. Doesn't waste any time and kept me engaged for the whole ~90 minutes. Edit : Also watched Beyond the Woods last week and it was REAL bad. Friend and I were drinking and managed to have a few laughs with it, but it's a real stinker of a movie. radiatorhums
Two Pigeons (or Freehold) : Pretty fun movie. A dash derivative of Sleep Tight, but it goes in a different direction with the concept. The why seems to be a bit lacking, that would be my only major complaint.
kylet
Anybody on here interested in Moviepass? I got an email saying I can give a referral link to 3 people for a free month trial. All my local friends already have it.
radiatorhums
Watched The Cleanse last night and it was ok. Nothing I'd highly recommend or go out of my way to watch a second time, but I didn't mind it. Decent movie to half watch / half talk through anyway.
Rip
Finally watched “XX” last night. It was pretty good. I love anthology’s so that helped. Main complaint is that each story didn’t feel “complete.” Like they just ended when they were starting to get really good. Still a fun watch though. Rip
OH FUCK TRAILER FOR NEW LARS VON TRIER (horror) MOVIE IS OUT! Apparently 100 people walked out at Cannes because of how fucked up it is. I forgot this was coming out, so yeah. Hereditary AND this are my most movies for this year.
Bladewillisisdead
I want to see that Von Trier joint, but I'm really bummed to see that there seems to be animal torture in it. I mean, it's going to have extremely brutal sadistic and graphic violence against humans...but come on...leave that duckling alone bruh. Not like you’ll be watching Cannibal Holocaust.
KingTacoMunster
not that I thought it was going to be great but we watch "cannibal farm" the other day and jeez it was horrible. and I love Troma films! but on another note I'm pretty stoked for that Von Trier movie. radiatorhums
Watched Resolution last night and liked it. Think I need to give it another watch at some point though, seems like there's a lot I didn't quite absorb. Rip
