wellnow
I've more or less become desensitized to the crazyness, however this is ridiculous... considering it is available from the label for $23. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Death-Cab-for-Cutie-PLANS-LP-vinyl-180-gram-Deluxe-2xLP-MINT-SEALED-bark-47-/111595312494?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276 Down to a less insane price now. woofwoofgrr
There's a difference between something asking for an insane price as compared to someone paying an insane price. If you're just posting listings with high prices it doesn't mean that someone is going to buy it.

pizza face
Might be a bit off topic, but it has to do with eBay. Just received a record with a sleeve grading of NM but came in all banged up barely VG. Of course the seller shipped in an envelope. I can return it, but would rather ask for a partial refund. Hopefully the seller and I can agree on something. What I want to ask what's an appropriate amount to ask back given I paid $51? I was hoping for at least $7. Obviously I know this is something I should be discussing with the seller. But I just want to see if this has happened to anyone?

Honestly, I would say it depends on the severity of the banged up-edness. I once refunded a dude 5 bucks because he had a seam split. It wasn't there when I shipped it, but the USPS happens. I just felt bad unnecessarily. Whatever. Because the dingbat used an envelope, I would straightup ask for at least $15, maybe they'll counter with 2/3rds and everyone is relatively happy. Seriously though, an envelope?!?
just a normal guy kevin
Don't kick a hornet's nest. He might get upset and charge you the 45 cents he spent on that envelope.
pizza face
Wow..the response I got..."Oh my god, it wasn't like that when I shipped it! This was my sons who went to Afghanistan and never returned." She offered to refund at least $10. But damn, was not expecting that..kind of had a feeling It was from someone who doesn't deal with records but damn..
just a normal guy kevin
The truly sad thing is that you hear about some soldiers wearing the equivalent of a manilla paper envelope as protection against gun fire and shrapnel. Protect your records/children.

213041284s
Not ebay, but Discogs. I thought I had managed to snag a copy of The Killers - Day & Age for $22 bucks, then the seller messages me saying that "two orders came in at the same time" so I thought someone else had beaten me to it, but then he just re-lists it for $114. Laaaaaame. I mean I actually kinda felt bad paying that little for it, I would've offered some extra cash honestly. But anyways, damn.. people should really double check their listings. I knew it was too good to be true

This seller seems to have appeared recently to sell old Eels vinyl. Here's what they've sold: http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=lavinyl14&ftab=AllFeedback&myworld=true&rt=nc I really want this record. I got carried away with the last one but still got outbid.
