This is a nicely mellow record by Pete La Roca with a little bit of a Euro jazz/spiritual jazz vibe. Originals aren't that expensive. It's got John Gilmore, Chick Corea, Walter Booker, and Pete La Roc

There isn't much recognition for jazz these days on VC or even in popular culture for that matter. Probably because jazz saw a creative and popularity shift downward in the 1980's. But some of the bes

Plaidroom just got in a bunch of Miles Davis Kind of Blue MoFi LPs.  They're going quick though.

Looks like they blew through over 120 copies in less than 24 hours.  When I posted, they still had 40.  I'm going to assume these will start popping up elsewhere though.

Not surprised by that at all.  Of course I bought mine aftermarket for way over $100...still no regrets after seeing your post.  But still!

So $250 retail?

$100-$125.

The MOFI is great and all, I own it, and did have the Supervinyl clear MoFI pressing as well, but the bass is a tad bloated on it. And my copies were a bit noisy at times. I think the AP UHQR will probably sound the best.

Fine, I’ll get a 4th copy

Ha ha. Yeah, I have 5 copies right now. I really like the MOV 2xLP pressing. Even though it's not straight AAA, it's 24b-96k, it does sound wonderful.

Got my Kind of Blue set and opened to find side one with a significant scratch. SUCKS! Anyone else have this problem?

Update: Plaid Room is doing me right. They're sending me a new one and I'm sending them back this scratched set.

Amazing you guys are getting your orders from Plaid Room.

I ordered the Black Unity Trio RE from them and it's still stuck in USPS purgatory.

Also not sure if anyone is familiar with Butcher Brown from Richmond, but they kill.

Their new album #KingButch would likely resonate with folks in this thread.

I was fortunate enough to help out with their Afrobeat record a few years back.

Less than 40 copies left. Orders shipping always.

The Mobley and Blakey are up for preorder on Amazon right now. April 9 release date. Everything seems to be delayed a month. Also, these Classics are really popular. They are all selling out quickly. The Sidewinder is being repressed with a June 30th release date. I'll be buying almost all of them, many to replace the shitty BN75 pressings I have.
