My brother was working with a band so my Dad (ha) and I went together to hang with him. It took me about 15 minutes to want to leave at least I saw Chuck Regan in the accoustic tent. I had the cool dude all access pass and I spent most of my time in the shade drinking beer. jhook Posted June 26, 2013 Share Posted June 26, 2013 I only knew like 3 of the bands playing. Alot of the bands were those newer "moshy techno" bands that I hate with a burning passion. Again I went because it was free.Nothing will beat the mid to late 90's Warped tours for me. Better bands and way more focus on skating. alogical Posted July 1, 2013 Share Posted July 1, 2013 going to the Hartford date again this year. Last year's Acoustic Basement was awesome, this year is pretty good too. Excited to see Defeater, MOB, TWY but that's about it. A cool story: Warped 2011. I went with my friend and we were waiting outside of the venue where the fill-in bands try to get you to listen to their music. Anyways we were there for a while and then walked up to get tickets for them. Once we got there my buddy realized he lost his wallet. We looked in the car, the parking lot, all over and couldn't find it. So we go back to sitting and I offer to buy his ticket but he's too nice to let me do that. So one of the guys from those fill-in bands comes over to try to get us to listen to his music, my friend says no he's not in the mood. Why? I lost my wallet. Anyways, the guy says to chill there till 11:30 when doors open and he'd let us in. I should have waited to buy a ticket cause I didn't even need it He walked us both in and we said thanks then he went back outside. Like six months later, my friend receives an envelope in the mail (somehow no return address) with his wallet and contents still there (money, drivers license, hunting license).
