As soon as Palms tweeted 'soon' I was checking the RE site under cassettes frequently yest and today and have not seen it yet. I ended up shipping my last package from Vienna since I was gonna be in Europe anyway. Better than FedEx though. FedEx told me it would cost $100 to ship a record. Haha. Yeah right. markok Posted July 8, 2013 Share Posted July 8, 2013 Finally received my record from amazon.co.uk, color: gold. I assume its the US pressing. To be honest, the pressing itself is a letdown. The records are thin and warped. I understand that 180g might be difficult to press flat, but a record this thin should be very easy to get right. I have heard the whole thing on mp3 for many times now and the record is really inferior - a lot of treble which gets worse at the end of sides. Labels are printed off center, spindle holes are too small, no poly-lined inner sleeves etc. And this is almost 30 USD at amazon.com right now? I also got today Katatonia - Last Fair Day Gone Night and Dillinger Escape Plan - One of Us is The Killer and compared to these, the Palms pressing is just a bloody mess. Reminds me the times I started collecting records (2006), when everyone were just pressing records to get the cashflow going. Thankfully Im not very anal Isis/Deftones collector.
