Lum
I'm a huge Madonna collector (especially for 16) and just wanted to know if anyone else was out there on this forum! If you are, what's your most prized record? Mine is either my sealed Everybody 12" single or sealed Borderline 12" single!
chiefwahoo
I don't collect Madonna records but I commend anyone willing to take on major artists like her, Prince, etc. It's just never ending. What's the scope of your collection? All countries and vinyl formats?
Lum
Oh goodness, I'm not that nuts.... yet. Without a job, I can only get things that I REALLY want. Working on getting all her albums. I have the first 7, got 8 to go. And I am trying to get all the 12" for the, at least, first four albums. I'm doing pretty good at that! idreamofpunk
I'd really like Ray of Light on vinyl, but it's not something I've sought out. Is it long oop? Expensive as fuck?
Guest deathbydrums
I heard she has her music pressed on "like-a-virgin vinyl". Yup, that was weak. moonbeams
mcpherson123
I was going to start collecting Mariah Carey's early work on vinyl.... but I didn't.
Guest
I have a few of the classic LPs and a couple of tapes, nothing major. True Blue is that hot fire.
jase
I sort of did this for my sister. She loves Madonna, I love records. So every time I went to a store I'd trawl their used section for good quality Madonna gunk. The best I found was true blue, on blue vinyl sealed for $15. Ended up getting her most of the 80's catelogue
markok
Dont like Madonna, only heard one album in full (on CD) a loooong time ago and that was Ray of Light which is probably to this day one of the best sounding albums I have ever heard. Pop musicians sure had a lot of money to make some fantastic sounding records in the 90-s Just checked DR Database - vinyl DR is 11 for that album. DJ Quik
I only have one Madonna vinyl, Confessions on a Dance Floor - Pink colored vinyl
rocknroll76
Got a bunch of pic sleeves, couple early 12" singles, and 2 albums (Virgin and TB). I always keep my eyes open for cheap items to add. I'd love to have that shaped Pic Disc - Borderline I believe. Good luck with collecting her, there's lots out there!
GradedOnACurve
I can't even fathom how many different 12" promo singles have been pressed. Nope.

jase
Huh. And you guys actually listen to these things? I absolutely did/do not. I collect them to give my sister as presents at birthday and Xmas.
somethingvinyl
Madonna is certainly an icon. But I think mostly performance wise. None of her 'serious' songs really impact me in anyway.
DJ Quik
Her Confessions album is basically a dance/house music album with her vocals on it
Guest
Is this like you guys buying that Taylor Swift LP? I have no interest in Taylor Swift, but I can understand why people dig her. Huh. And you guys actually listen to these things? Of course, that's the point right?
somethingvinyl
I have no interest in Taylor Swift, but I can understand why people dig her. Of course, that's the point right? Grown men? I get why young people like her, even women in their 20's, but guys in their late 20's?

I can't figure it out, she makes music that is aimed at teenage to mid 20s females, "boy broke my heart, cheated on me with cheerleader..." but now guys are buying her vinyl? I just can't.... somethingvinyl
