jhook
He is going to get caught, I am calling it now.
sinisterkidd
well he's either going to get caught, escape, kill himself or get killed. Im thinking he's going to kill himself. Either way this season looks like its gunna be pretty interesting. Im excited for when Hannah comes back. And I think I like cracked out Deb more than the old Deb
cwhitmuzik
that was so terrible, hahahaha. kind of suspected that, but yeah. already figured out the relationship of the woman to dexter
elgato48
Fucking password. I think this might just end in one giant clusterfuck.
billya
That first episode was kind of underwhelming. I really hope that the season picks up.
robotfactory
I enjoyed the episode. There were a few scenes that weren't great, but overall I think it was a good start.
circuit bored records
Season premiere after a big cliffhanger is usually somewhat disappointing for any TV series.. I didn't expect them to pick right up where the last one left just 'cause there was kind of no where left to go. In the end I went in with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised, and am really looking forward to the rest of the season.
radiatorhums
Going to watch this when I get home. Haven't liked the last couple seasons, so I'm more happy it's ending than anything else.

They could have picked it right up from the cargo box on NYE. I am sure that the rest of the season will be interesting, especially with the shrink. cwhitmuzik
It doesn't feel like they're heading towards any end-game, it's just another season of Dexter
Guest
This show is always a slow starter...by the mid-way point of the season it should start getting better.
mitchard
Overall, I enjoyed it a lot. Some of it was slower, but I think it was a good way to start. Opened up a few interesting stories.
xadamhudsonx
I wasn't into this new episode. Whiney druggy Debra is 100x more annoying than regular Debra and this whole "can't control his emotions" Dexter isn't any better. Goes against his character and isn't much fun to watch. morfiend
Solid episode, I enjoyed it. To me, the series peaked with Jon Lithgow as the Trinity killer, they haven't come close to topping that season. Shitty Rambo

xadamhudsonx
I think thats the point. I get that, but I don't like that version of him.
mitchard
Neither do I, really. I miss the cold and calculated Dexter. But I guess a character has to progress and change eventually.
henster311
the lighting during the pink motel scene was awesome. ...the lighting is always awesome. anyway...i liked the episode, opened the door for a lot. i was kinda surprised on how fast the plot went with vogel and dexter. like we all knew she had something, even dexter did but, i didnt expect that confrontation to happen. videogamesandvinyl
Not sure i particularly care for the direction they went with Deb. Surely it opened to door for her character to have an alternative lifestyle like Dexter's but being that it was episode 1, it felt rushed. Hoping that there is details for her turn in upcoming episodes.
Shitty Rambo
I have a feeling he'll end up having to choose Deb or his son at some point this season. Killing Dexter at the end seems kinda meh.
sinisterkidd
I think the whole Deb thing is pretty self explanatory. But I am hoping we find out how the whole Laguerta thing went down
videogamesandvinyl
I think the whole Deb thing is pretty self explanatory. But I am hoping we find out how the whole Laguerta thing went down It is obvious why she is a mess, I just meant that I would have liked to see her downfall from the beginning and see it progress over time rather than instantly being a mess. If that makes sense...
jhook
I bet the psychiatrist lady helped Harry write the code. I like drugged up Deb she was like a cat in heat when you saw her for the first time.
sinisterkidd
oh yea, I guess if they started right where season 7 left off. Maybe they'll have some flashbacks kinda thing, because there is alot of stuff that needs to be explained
