fuckoffleatherjacket
I have an expedit and I'm worrying about the cat fucking up all my records. I've seen some horrifying pictures. Does anyone have any advice on protecting them. I was thinking some sort of plexiglass cover for each shelf but I don't really know??? orangesix
I have mine standing up, and I usually have two stacks of records covering the bottom row.

sharkticon
I got a 2 bedroom apartment. Records go in one bedroom and that door stays shut. You could also install a sliding plexiglass front to go in front of it. Would look really sexy if you could set the expedit back in a wall or closet
jetsfan4ever80
My cats don't care about my records in the expedit, or whatever records I have lying around the house for that matter. However they do love the turntable - especially when records are spinning. I think it's all dependent on the behavior of your individual cat. I think it's unlikely it would bother with your records, but I suppose it doesn't hurt to be proactive.
iron666monkey
I think it's hilarious that people are dumb enough to have an animal in their house that pisses and shits in a box which stinks up the place, jump all over everything, and rip up everything with their claws. Cats are assholes. ilikeguitars, tomfiend, webdoggy and 1 other
awesomeo4000
i dunno, my cat doesn't do any of those things. he is pretty rad and a total softie. people who hate cats just haven't met the right cat Eliminator Jr., Thrice55, videogamesandvinyl and 3 others
Metal Mike
Not surprisingly, I've dealt with this extensively. I had one bad cat that clawed records, not in polybags.Since then, I've had 6 different cats (Yeah, that's right. fuck you, I like cats.) none of them bother my records. They're all in polybags in expedits. If it becomes an issue, leave some sheets of tinfoil draped over your records. Tinfoil is the natural enemy of the cat.
