Any Guster fans? Got some cryptic news about upcoming vinyl

Recommended Posts

I LOVE Guster. Easy Wonderful is easy to find on vinyl, and Keep it Together is harder to find, along with Ganging up on the Sun. The rest of their albums aren't even pressed!

I emailed them about a GuotS repress because I was able to get lucky and find KiT. I also asked them to press Goldfly because it's one of my favorite albums ever.

They responded and said "keep an eye out for some news on the vinyl front"

That is exciting.

Surprise!

Lost and Gone Forever (1999) comes out on vinyl today (2016) — why it took 17 years to reach this point, we do not know. We do know that it looks and sounds awesome, and starting side two with “All The Way Up To Heaven” just makes good sense. The LP’s artwork really shines in 12 X 12 form, like the kid is not just about to smash a broken piano with his boulder, but perhaps my face as well. These things don’t fit into stockings, but they make great under-the-tree / propped-carefully-against-a-menorah gifts. Order by December 19th to ensure timely holiday delivery.

Lost & Gone Forever is the simplest and perhaps most seminal Guster album. Recorded over a few weeks in 1999 with Steve Lillywhite, the band’s original instrumentation was embellished with just a few subtle choices. It’s an honor to hold this record in our hands!

Both the Slime Green (limited to 200) and Black 180g variants are available now at the Guster online merch store.
