The variants really don't go with the cover much, and they feel like they're just to be so crazy that the kids will eat them up. Which they do. If a record is aesthetically pleasing it's a nice extra to me. But I don't think it's weird what you said. Someone new to vinyl would see something like the WYDS watermelon variant and without a doubt be more intrigued then a white record.Pure Noise knows the demographic they're selling to, and they make colors that look appealing. But I'd always prefer it to be closer to the artwork instead of just being crazy colors obviously for the sake of being crazy like these are.
