kevinxabney
Why didn't anyone tell me to listen to Mogwai before?I always saw their albums scattered throughout shops and sort of just flipped passed it without giving it much thought. Why wouldn't you tell me?Where has this been all my life? Guest
They are the greatest. Everything they have released is amazing. They stretch far past the "post rock" tag people throw at them.
kevinxabney
I can't believe no one has ever told me about them before.I literally just gave them a listen an hour or so ago and I'm in love.

radiatorhums
That's great news! They're easily one of my favorite bands. They have a huge catalogue to dig through too, so you'll have plenty listen to. I can confirm that they're very loud (and excellent) live. codeine
If you haven't listened to Mr. Beast from beginning to end yet, I would suggest doing that. casey
Guest
Mogwai live? I didn't even consider this. What. the. fuck. Watch the videos of them on youtube from the 2001 La Route du Rock fest. Edit: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xtf956_mogwai-la-route-du-rock-2001-pro-shot_music Easily the loudest band I have seen. I couldn't hear for days after the last time I saw them. Derek™
Still going to grumble and moan until a CODY repress presents itself. In every thread that it's relevant.
codeine
^The way CODY kicks off with the Iggy Pop sample, man. First time I heard it, gave me chills, will never forget it.
zacaroo21
Reiterating the loudness on their live show. It's like a 2 hour punch in the chest. If they and twdy played back to back your lungs might collapse.
Youinreverse
Good to see so much love for Mogwai. Their live shows are incredible. Now that you've discovered Mogwai, lock yourself in a room and listen to the track "Mogwai Fear Satan" without distraction.
abovetheearth
When I did my music overhaul, Mogwai was my go to. Indescribable. I'm gonna go spin Zidane now.
Rip
This made me check out some of Mr. Beast because I've never listened to them either. What the fuck have I been doing with my life? kevinxabney

I'm pretty sure the Matador pressing is out of print at this point. Looks like you can get a used copy off discogs for about $35.
circuit bored records
Anybody know if Happy Songs is getting repressed? I stupidly sold my copy years ago. I see copies on the bay for about ~$30 just not sure if I should pull the trigger on it

I see copies on the bay for about ~$30 just not sure if I should pull the trigger on it It appears as if it was just repressed, along with Zidane. Mr. Beast and Rock Action were repressed in the same way last year. They come out silently. Mogwai will probably wait a few months to acknowledge their existence on facebook. $30 is an extremely reasonable price for that album. The repress cost me $27.
