monsterrod
Got the day off from work AND school. I'm headed out to the Napa Smith, Russian River, and Lagunitas taprooms with my DD for a day-long beerventure. If there's anyone from VC in the Santa Rosa/Napa/Petaluma area that wants to meet up, PM me and I'll buy the first round. BEER!

michaelmanfredi
Got to try a few different Chimay's last week. Grand Reserve (Blue), Premiere (Red), Tripel (White). They were awesome. Premiere was the best imo. I also picked up a Steelhead Extra Pale Ale which was very good.

paynegretzky
I'm not sure how widespread/available Picaroon's beer is, but if you ever see these I recommend you at least try a couple different brews. You buy them in singles. http://www.picaroons.ca
monsterrod
The lady friend and I are at Mad River Brewing Co. up in Acada, CA. She has a cherry stout and I have an unfiltered wheat IPA. The stout is nice, complex, well-balanced, and delicious. The wheat IPA is very, very hoppy. Kinda one-note, but what a great note "hoppy" is. seangj
I got growlers of Pliny The Elder from Russian River and Lil' Cheif from Sonoma Springs to enjoy tonight. I am jealous of this. Tomorrow I am brewing a Rye IPA and dry hopping it with some local hops. Excited for that. Smitty
monsterrod
That sounds awesome. Let us know how it turns out. I'm actually growing my own hops right now at a buddy's house in Sonoma. I can't wait to use "my own hops" in my own beer. Smitty

xadamhudsonx
If you're in Southern California, check out HopScotch in downtown Fullerton. I've been working there since it opened in November. 75 bottle beer selections, 24 drafts, a cooler of craft beer to-go, and almost 120 whiskey labels to choose from. Here is a currently list of what's on tap so you can get an idea of what we're offering (and a list of bottle selection here http://oc.taphunter.com/location/HopScotch. We get new stuff in all the time and are constantly changing over our taps as new kegs come in.) Rip
I think I've decided that Samuel Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout is officially my favorite beer of all-time. Tastes like a straight milkshake. jtcohenour
