robthepenguin
Had some New Holland Dragon's Milk the other day. Shit fucked me UP. Shit is delicious! Try Gulden Draak bro! I will be adding that to my list! Notables that I've tried lately: arrogant bastard ale and lion stout. I think I like the bastard better. booyahachieved
I just recently got reacquainted with Sierra Nevada's Bigfoot Barley Wine Style Ale. 90 IBUs and 9.6% ABV. I'm salivating right now just thinking about it.

I'll have to give that Conway's another shot. I remember trying it a couple of years ago and it seemed a bit bland to me. However, my palate tends to change quite often so I'm due for another shot at it.

Yea, I understand that it is not their best beer, but for some reason it just is awesome....and makes your poop a festive Irish Orange! tylerrr
BUD LIGHT PLATINUMthe taste of bud light the heavieness of budweiser and the alc volume of a beer that counts To me it tasted like someone poured half a budweiser into a bud light and bottled it... I guess that's the same thing you said just worded different.
rtw88
Bud Light Platinum sounds awesome! I'm going to head down to the bar sometime this week and feast on some Hop Slam. It's been too long.
Guest
i tried a bud light platinum on saturday night. wasn't bad at all to be honest. I haven't had Sierra Nevada anything. rtw88
I've never seen St. Ides. Do they still make it? On a similar note, has anyone ever seen Champale? I've been on a search for it for years, traversing the east coast multiple times, and have never seen it. I've had one friend validate it's existence in Athens, but he brought back no proof. imaxcowboyx
Nah they definitely still make that swill; it's up here in MD liqour stores. Why would you guys want that stuff? Reliving some Elliott Smith songs eh?? But Champale DEFINITELY exists, in all it's ridiculousness. I think one of the only places on the east coast you can still find it though is Ohio. It's mostly a hood drink out west now haha. Champale: it truly is, something else.

It's a kudos to Voodoo Doughnut in Portland We couldn't get it up here, but my friend in MI grabbed a bottle for me...can't wait!
rtw88
Well then my hunt for champale shall continute. That Voodoo Doughnut sounds awesome! I've been too broke to look around for good beer lately, but I might have to make an exception for that.

Guest
Rogue Brewery is my favorite. Dead guy ale is awesome. On a side note, Voodoo has the best vegan doughnuts ever.
rtw88
I was sad to see that Voodoo beer had really terrible reviews on ratebeer, which I generally trust. At least compared to Beer Advocate.

mbr
I live in Missoula and we have some amazing breweries here. Bayern, Flathead Lake, Draftworks, but in my opinion Kettlehouse takes the gold. They have a seasonal Dopplebock that is hands down my fav. Moose Drool is widely distributed but if you can find cans of Kettlehouse's Cold Smoke you should give it a try. A smooth Scotch Ale that is vastly popular. robthepenguin
You guys have to try a New Belgium. My favorite is the Fat Tire. First time I tried it I didn't like it. The next time I tried it, I was playing a show and a drunk guy came up and gave it to me so I chugged it on stage. I liked it ever since. Nice, glad you changed your mind you should try the 1554 its same flavors as the fat tire but much darker and richer.
