VIP for Philly sold out in a matter of minutes. I've never seen TWY or Defeater, so I want to go. But I'm really not in a good financial spot right now, haha.

In the holiday spirit... If you want, I will grab another ticket.. you can pay back whenever you can, absolutely no rush. The offer is out there, let me know.

Holy shit Cesar. That's amazing. I'm so jealous of you guys that are just a hop skip and a jump away from all these shows. I wish more bands would play Jerry's Pizza. It seems like there are fewer and fewer shows there these days.

I've only been to Jerry's once back in 2005 I believe it was. I saw Thrice there when they were road testing songs from Vheissu. I remember they started playing "Paper Tigers" and a minute or so into into, the power went out. Everyone stood there silent for a second and then just cheered hahaha. So awesome.

Edit: holy shit, that setlist! and that print!! Sunday needs to hurry up! How much was the print, if I may ask?

Best little venue. Except, Senses Fail had them put up a barrier the last time they played (really?), and I don't think they've taken it out. That was one of the most endearing things about going there.

I saw Jimmy Eat World this past Wednesday 12/11/13 here at the Music Farm in Charleston, SC and I was able to grab the last copy of Futures 2LP they had for sale, it was a little beat up, but I am happy with it! The Merch guy said they had "found a couple more" in the studio garage or something. It was a great show, and I talked to the band afterwards and I must say Zach Lind (drummer) is a great dude! He said they loved it in Charleston and they did a type of Restaurant hop and tried a little bit of everything. But he did confirm that there should be a new Futures press next year and also a new press of Static Prevails and Clarity!

Wow seriously?? That's like this past weekend when brand new had a barricade at the troubadour. So silly.

Restorations - 11/10 - Great Scott, Allston, MA

And gonna finish out the year with Hot Water Music on Sunday and three nights of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones after Christmas.

My show of the year was Dropkick Murphys.  I love The Gang's All Here and there's just something awesome about seeing a band in a smaller venue than that band has a right to be playing.  Runner-up was Titus Andronicus and So So Glos.  Maybe it's cheesy, but that I Love Rock and Roll-No Sleep Till Brooklyn-Roots Radicals-To Have and Have Not run of covers was maybe the most fun I had this year.

Also, this list makes me realize I only listen to like 10 bands.   :(

Anybody else going to see Max Bemis and Sherri Dupree in Wilmimgton tonight? It looks like the tables are family style (long and shared between parties), not bistro/lounge style so it would be cool to hang out with a couple other Philly VCers!

I can't make it tonight even though I have tickets... do you have a couple friends that would want to go with you? (for free)

That's a shame! Would be great to hang. I'll ask on Facebook... Maybe somebody on VC would take them?

BTW the fiancé and I plan to get there right at 7 to get a table, however with their pending snowmageddon it probably won't be a problem.
