cyraxrocks
Like the title says, why don't modern musicals see pressings like older shows did? I would love to have a copy of Spring Awakening or Avenue Q. I picked up American Idiot: The Musical a while back and it's great. What do you guys think? Guest
I'm for more of them happening. Our grandkids need stuff to look over while digging through record piles at Goodwill. This also brings up another question: WHO WILL BE OUR GENERATION'S SINGING WITH MITCH?
TheEnigmyst
The musical Wicked had a limited 10th anniversary double LP. It had one green and one black record. Although it looked pretty cool, it was $100 and apparently still managed to sell out. cyraxrocks

btelg
The only 2 soundtracks I know that have been pressed in recent years were the revival of Hair and The Drowsy Chaperone. Hair: http://www.sh-k-boom.com/hairbroadway_vinyl.html Drowsy Chaperone: http://www.sh-k-boom.com/drowsychaperone_vinyl.html I've considered the Hair soundtrack (saw it on B'Way and really dug it) but.... $50? No thanks. cyraxrocks
cyraxrocks
Oh man I would drop serious cash on Rent. Children of Eden is super good too. Also, A Catered Affair or Spamalot.

Route36west1
any idea where to get another? girlfriend loves wicked and this would be an excellent addition to the collection I didn't even realize it was taken off of the website! But when I ordered from the wicked online store it said it was a PO for a limited amount that would be ready by Christmas. So my guess is more will go back up after Christmas. That's just my take on how it was worded though.
